Crockpot Balsamic Beef Roast

This recipe! It is such a tasty one! Perfectly seasoned chuck roast, cooked all day long in a tart but slightly sweet marinade of balsamic vinegar, honey, and Worcestershire… the stars align when this is in the slow cooker. Serve with a big, Italian red. A perfect wine and foodie pairing for those with a busy schedule. Cheers!

4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 3-4 lb. boneless chuck roast
1 c. beef broth
1/2 c. balsamic vinegar
1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 Tbs. honey
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

Combine all ingredients (excluding beef) and mix well. Place roast beef into slow cooker and cover with vinegar mixture. Cook for 8 hours on low. I use and love this crock pot because it has a timer, and came with the little warmer for cheese dip 😉
Remove the roast from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Serve with juices ladled over top. Try with a hearty, fall mix salad or garlic roasted potatoes. Pair with Il Rosso Aglianico from Triangle Wine Company or another big, red Italian wine. Enjoy!
