La Fin Du Monde
Review by Eric Tansey, CSW La Fin Du Monde is a golden color beer, much like that jug you see there below this review. It is opaque and hazy with a five finger, white marshmallow-like head. If you could get rich by just staring at gold, then this beer would give you Mark Cuban Status. The nose on the La Fin Du Monde is incredible. Powerful aromas of Belgian yeast, wet violets and roses, with an intense lemon and orange peel scent that tickles your nose. On the palate the first thing you notice is a perfect balance of all things good–fruit, bitterness, maltiness and yeast. Sweet sour dough, wet violets, overripe banana skins, tropical mango and to finish it all off, slight white pepper on the well executed dry finish. Stunning beer and to think that it is priced under $10 for a 25oz bottle is amazing! If this is what the end of the world (La Fin Du Monde) has in store for me, then bring it on. Cheers!

What is a Belgian Triple?
A Belgian Triple is a top fermented beer (ale) that is made in the traditional monastic style. These beers get the name “triple” because they use three times the amount of malts that are typically used in traditional Trappist style beer. These beers often have very sour dough-like characteristics with strong Belgian yeast flavors that are very floral with tropical fruit qualities. Expect these beers to leave little floaties in your glass; this is all the dead yeast that is left in the bottle after fermentation is complete. These beers are bright in color and often a bit hazy as you look into them. Enjoy these beers with soft cheeses, creme brulee, and sushi. Cheers!

Fabulous beer! My preference is normally an IPA but this is an easy beer to drink and is a good choice for a dinner beverage.

This is a fine beverage. One bottle is a great way to spend a crisp winter Saturday afternoon. At 9% it give you a great kickstart, whether you are planning on a night on the town or putting up with your in-laws. Highly recommended.
