Renegade Wine Company Red
Review by Eric Tansey, CSW, Sommelier The Renegade Wine Company Red wine is bright red, translucent, and very appealing to the eye. Moderate aromas of black cherry cola and dusty dirt road. On the palate the wine is very juicy with a medium bodied mouthfeel. Up front the wine appears to be a fruit bomb, but the shifting mid-palate brings layers of earth and minerality. Medium acidity and light tannin bring an elegance to the wine, making it supple and fresh, leaving the wine with a nice lengthy and fruit-driven finish that isn’t jammy. Cheers!

From the Winery
The Renegade Wine Co. is very excited to release the 2013 Renegade Wine Co. Red Wine. It is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 7% Syrah, 5% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot. It certainly drinks like a Washington State Cabernet based blend, with lots of red and black fruits, scents of loamy minerality, and fine grained tannins that are matched with balanced acidity. Like all the Renegade wines, this drinks as well as something twice as expensive. Certainly a candidate to buy by the case! Don’t hesitate, be a Renegade!
